Profound RF Microneedling, a groundbreaking combination of Radio Frequency (RF) and microneedling, is widely recognized for its safe and effective skin rejuvenation properties. Both Radio Frequency (RF) and microneedling are widely regarded as safe, effective modalities for skin rejuvenation. On their own, they provide wonderful results.
But several years ago, when the two technologies were COMBINED, a breakthrough treatment was born.
RF microneedling addresses multiple skin concerns at once with little to no downtime, making it one of the most sought after treatments available. Profound RF Microneedling, in particular, stands out for its ability to deliver transformative results. Different treatment options exist, but the basic function is the same: an applicator with tiny needles penetrates the skin at various depths to deliver radio-frequency (heat) energy waves and create micro-injuries. This prompts the body’s response to generate more collagen and elastin, improving overall skin quality giving the skin a smoother, tightened appearance.
Although there are similar devices on the market, they are not created the same.

What to expect:
During your consultation, you’ll be instructed on how to prep your skin for treatment. For best results, it’s important that you follow these instructions and discontinue use of certain medications and/or active ingredients in the days/weeks leading up to your visit.
During treatment:
Topical anesthetic is applied before treatment. Once removed, the treatment takes about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. Most patients report that the treatment is relatively comfortable, with some areas being more sensitive than others. Skin type and goals for treatment will determine the needle depth.
After treatment, you can expect a lot of erythema (redness). You should plan to go home after treatment. The redness can last anywhere from 12-48 hours and the skin may feel tight and sensitized for a few days. Most patients can wear makeup and resume normal activities the next day, but the aftercare protocol is extremely important to reduce any risk of infection.
After 5-7 days, the skin will be back to normal – with a noticeable glow!
Most people opt for multiple treatments, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Collagen does not appear overnight. That said, the results are cumulative, and may take 3 to 6 months to notice. Profound RF Microneedling is also a great yearly maintenance treatment.
